Völkl began ski production in the Bavarian town of Straubing, Germany in 1923, making 2010 its 87th anniversary. The company's rich heritage is dotted with a tradition of exciting innovations in ski technology, like the recently-introduced Extended Low Profile (ELP) rocker design, the first to combine added finesse and maneuverability in deep snow with all-mountain versatility, to make the days in between storms the best they can be. KURO

The Kuro is Völkl’s widest ski, with a shape of 164-132-139, combined with Völkl's exclusive Extended Low Profile (ELP) rocker technology. Incredibly easy to handle for its width, the Kuro's shape and overall setup make it ideal for charging through the deepest of conditions.

GOTAMA

One of the most award-winning skis of the 09/10 season, the Gotama features Völkl's exclusive Extended Low Profile (ELP) rocker technology and a new, rounded top edge for even better manueverability in deep snow. For good skiers who want a playful big mountain twin tip ski that you can also ski all around the mountain as an every day ski.

KATANA

The Katana features a top-end construction with its full Sensorwood core and two sheets of titanium. Meticulously matched with Völkl's Extended Low Profile (ELP) rocker, the Katana's 111mm waist gives you float, while the beefy construction allows great handling on harder snow. For good skiers who want a big mountain powder ski that can handle the groomed on occasion.
