From Riders - For Riders

We started this brand to get back to what matters—passion, creativity, and building MTB gear we’re proud to ride in. Our mission is to make high-quality apparel, support our community, and stay focused on the ride, not the hype.

Built by Riders, Driven by Passion

Akta was developed by a team who spent years in the corporate side of the mountain biking world, but never lost sight of what drew them to the sport in the first place: creativity, passion, and the love of the ride. Their MTB apparel line was never about catching up with the latest fads in sportswear, but more about building a brand that invoked pride in real riders who explore trails on the daily.

Striking the perfect balance between being big enough to make an impact, but small enough to tune into every minor detail, Akta’s focus was razor sharp since day one—creating high-performance riding gear, nurturing customer relationships, and roping in feedback from true athletes who help shape their products through real-world testing.

More than just technical sporting gear, Akta is building a brand grounded in community, innovation, and integrity. Every piece reflects a commitment to riding culture, not just the bottom line.

Sustainability: Progress Over Perfection

Even though starting another MTB clothing brand may not have been the most sustainable of decisions, Akta caught on to an opportunity and strived to make it a reality. They wanted to be trailblazers in the sporting goods industry and bring about positive change with every decision.

Since its inception, Akta’s goal has been to use 100% post-consumer recycled, bluesign®-approved fabrics in a way that makes a difference. While they fell just shy of hitting their benchmark, they didn’t lose heart and took pride in the achievements they made. To Akta, sustainability is not a one-and-done aspiration; it's a long-term process, and they are determined to show up and create product improvements every step of the way.
