Our experts learned everything they know through years of experience, mentorship, and in the field (or on the hill, rather) themselves. Fresh Air is built on a philosophy not to sell products but empower people with the knowledge to make the most of their time outdoors—so our expertise is something we like to hang our helmet on.

How we source our products
There’s a lot going on behind the scenes to ensure we bring you gear that we stand by. It’s not about the newest trends or hottest brands. We have our personal experience and longstanding partnerships with our reps, but one of the most exciting ways we make our purchasing decisions happens once a year, in winter.
Tried and tested
During this two-day event, we take a group of staff out on the snow with a list of skis or snowboards to try. The list isn’t random—we consider the team members’ skiing style and even throw curveballs in with gear for their anti-style.
The feedback we receive is invaluable in deciding what to stock and giving our staff the real-world experience to help you find your new favourite pair of skis.
In the community
Last but far from least, we would be nothing without our community, and that’s why Fresh Air stands by the importance of giving back to the organizations that uplift Kelowna and the Okanagan. This is our home, too.
